"The changing of seasons is most spectacular in Autumn -- but sometimes it's the subtle individual leaf that catches your eye. This "Leaf on Slate" was just outside my back door. We had a typical fall day with a dusting of snow; the warmth from the sun hitting the slate rock slowly melted the snow around the leaf. The color was then gone in a couple of days." - Jim Brandenburg
