In 1982, the great Tibetan master Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991) performed the fire ceremony (chinsek), in the courtyard of the monastery of Punakha in Bhutan. Precious substances are offered to the deities of the mandala visualized in the fire during this ritual.
