MR866 Shishapangma Mountain

Framed in a circle of fluttering prayer-flags, Shishapangma Mountain (also known in Nepalese Gosainthan), rises to 8013meters (26,282 feet), and forms a gateway to Tibet. Here, it is seen from the slopes outside the pass of Gongla (5050meters, 16,564 feet), near the Nepalese frontier. 1999.
