MR922 The Zitsa Degu (Tib. gzi rtsa sde dgu, literally “The nine villages of the Zitsa communities from Tibetan origin), valley, known to foreign visitors by its Chinese name, Jiuzhaigo, lies in eastern Tibet, on the former frontier between Tibet and China (now part of Sichuan province). It offers an extraordinary panorama of colorful lakes and spectacular waterfalls that cover an area of some fifty kilometers. 2003
